With just a few simple seasonings, you can create the most incredible and mouthwatering air fryer pork loin roast in just about an hour. It’s as easy as applying the rub and letting your air fryer work its magic.
I can’t express enough how much I adore my air fryer. It has quickly become one of my most beloved kitchen appliances. And let me tell you, it’s the absolute perfect tool for making an amazing pork loin roast.
Use Pork Loin Roast 2lb – 2.5lbs
Let’s start by selecting a good top loin pork roast that weighs about 2 – 2.5lbs. This size is ideal for most 5-6qt air fryers. Make sure the package specifies pork loin roast and not pork tenderloin. While pork tenderloin is fantastic, it’s considerably smaller and requires different cooking temperatures and times. A pork loin roast is what boneless pork chops are cut from. It’s a simple yet awesome dish that’s perfect for a family dinner. Plus, it’s quite affordable too!
Best Damn Seasoning Rub
Creating the perfect rub for our pork loin roast is a breeze with just a few simple ingredients. We’ll be using brown sugar, ground mustard, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. This mixture will yield approximately 3.5 tablespoons of rub. You can use almost all of it on your pork roast. If there’s any leftover rub, you can reserve it to make a quick gravy. Check the recipe notes below for more details.
Air Fry for 45-55 minutes at 360°F
Now that our pork loin roast is perfectly seasoned, it’s time to cook it. Preheat your air fryer for 5 minutes at 360°F. Once preheated, place the roast inside the air fryer with the fat cap side up. Set the temperature to 360°F and cook for 45 minutes. Remember to turn the roast halfway through cooking. We want the internal temperature to reach 145°-160°F. Use an instant-read thermometer and check for at least 140°F. I suggest 140°F because the roast will continue to cook once you take it out of the air fryer. If it hasn’t reached 140°F yet, let it cook for another 5-10 minutes.
Let it Rest!
Once the cooking time is complete, gently remove the roast from the air fryer and let it rest on a plate. Loosely cover it with foil and allow it to rest for at least 5 minutes. During this time, the temperature will continue to rise a few degrees.
What About Larger Sized Roasts?
When dealing with pork loin roasts larger than 2.5lbs, it’s essential to consider how well they fit in your air fryer. We don’t want the roast to be too tight or placed too close to the heating element. If your air fryer is larger than 5-6qt, you should be able to accommodate larger roasts. Simply increase the cooking time by approximately 20 minutes per pound and always check the internal temperature to ensure it’s cooked to perfection.
I hope you enjoy this fantastic air fryer pork loin roast recipe as much as I do. It’s simple, delicious, and perfect for a memorable family meal. For more delightful recipes like this, visit Family Cuisine.
