Why We Like It – Char-Broil Performance 2 Burner
The Char-Broil Performance 2 Burner is an excellent budget-level grill that anybody can use. From novice to experienced, your burgers and hot dogs should come out quickly and taste juicy. And if you’re cooking for multiple people the cooking space on the grill is great for a budget-level barbeque.
Power/Heating
Char-Broil Liquid Propane Gas Grills comes with two 12,000 BTUs for a total BTU of 24,000. This is good for a grill of this size, but you can check out the Weber Spirit II if you’re looking for something of a similar size that’s slightly more powerful. The Char-Broil also features an instant-on propane tank so your preheat time is only about 15-20 minutes.

Size/Versatility
The cooking area is about 300 square inches primary and 100 square inches on the warming rack. It’s on the smaller side of grills, so this is to be expected. Try the Blackstone 36 Stainless Steel Griddle for something bigger. But what’s great about the Char-Broil is that it comes with a stainless steel lid and side shelves and enclosed storage which add up to extra space for your tools and a hidden LPG tank.
Durability
The Char-Broil burner cabinet gas grill comes with porcelain-coated cast-iron grates which are rust-resistant. At a little over 80 pounds, and with four-casters, it’s more than easy to move around the yard or, if you’d like to bring it with you to the cottage, to disassemble and load into a car. Ease of Use
Even novices should have no problem operating the Char-Broil. Starting it requires a turn of a valve and the push of a button. From there, twin knobs let you control flame height to give you access to precise temperature control. Value
Despite being classified as a budget grill, the Char-Broil actually offers many benefits not normally found on budget Monument grills. Aside from being very affordable, the grease pan is larger than the ones you will find on even higher-end barbeques. And if you’re not content with the basics Char-Broil offers a variety of accessories like nylon cleaning brushes, pizza pans, and beer can chicken roasters.

There’s no natural gas option on the grill, which is a shame for people who don’t like cooking with propane, but that’s really one of the only downsides to the grill. The storage space may get just a little tight with the propane tank, but I’m sure you’ll be able to manage.
