You know, we’re always in awe of people who defy the odds and follow their passions. Whether it’s something as small as creating captivating TikTok videos or as big as running their own company, we girls are always cheering them on. But have you ever heard of someone who wrestles alligators? Well, let us introduce you to Cheyenne “Pickle” Wheat, also known as “Pee Wee” by Troy Landry, the legendary alligator hunter from ‘Swamp People’. Her fearlessness has made quite an impression on fans since her debut in season 12.
Getting to Know Pee Wee from ‘Swamp People’
Cheyenne was born on September 21, 1995, in Poydras, LA to Eddie and Missy Wheat. Hunting alligators runs deep in her bloodline, with her great-grandfather being one of the original alligator hunters in St. Bernard Parish. Growing up, Cheyenne’s dad and brother were her hunting partners, forming the inseparable trio known as the “three amigos.” Crocodile hunting was a part of their upbringing, and Cheyenne embraced it wholeheartedly. It’s no wonder she has become Troy’s right-hand woman, displaying remarkable expertise and undying dedication.

The bond between Pickles and Troy goes beyond the screen. They share a genuine friendship, just like family. Cheyenne has learned invaluable lessons from “Mr. Troy” and the entire ‘Swamp People’ cast, solidifying her position as a respected member of the team. It’s evident that alligators have a soft spot for fresh chicken (who would have thought?), and Cheyenne has perfected her baiting techniques, allowing her to connect with her prey on a more natural level.
Cheyenne is also making strides in her personal life. She is in a relationship with Joshua Kipps, a medical technician, and they recently announced on social media that they are expecting a baby girl. Cheyenne’s entrepreneurial spirit shines through as she manages her own merchandise line, which can be found at pickewwheat.com. Truly, she is an enterprising and inspiring individual.
Congratulations, Pee Wee! We are thrilled to welcome your beautiful baby girl into the world. But until then, maybe it’s best to stay out of the swamp, just for now. For those who can’t get enough of the thrilling world of alligator hunting, don’t forget to tune in to ‘Swamp People’ airing Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on the History Channel.
