How to Make Stir-Fried Broccoli
Blanching the Broccoli
- Step 1) Start by cutting the head of broccoli into florets and rinsing them with water.
- Step 2) Transfer the florets to a bowl with a lid and add hot water.
- Step 3) Cover the bowl and let the broccoli sit in the hot water for 2-3 minutes.
- Step 4) Prepare a bowl of water and ice cubes. Transfer the blanched broccoli florets into the ice water.
- Step 5) After 2-3 minutes, drain the water and transfer the broccoli florets to a colander. They are now ready for stir-frying.
Stir-Frying the Broccoli
- Step 1) Heat oil in a frying pan and add garlic. Fry it for a few seconds to infuse the oil with its flavor.
- Step 2) Add chili flakes, broccoli, salt, pepper, and soy sauce. Stir-fry over high heat for 1-2 minutes.
- Step 3) Add one tablespoon of water, cover, and cook the broccoli precisely for 20 seconds.
